efios     Efios home Weblog     The efios blog: "It's all about people and networks"       26 June 2003 Gurteen Knowledge conference materials online The Gurteen conference of last week in Hammersmith was very useful; though I have to admit that listening to Dave Snowden twice a week is quite some food for thought, I have to admit that it was a well-organized event with high degree of community-spirit. I have seen some people blogging about the event, with notes and pictures already. In spite of my own expectations I still have to do so. At least the proceedings are online at the Gurteen.com website (David sent out an email this morning) with the slides and materials from the speakers included (Dave's work can be found here, you need to leave name and email if you wish to download the slides). This happened at 10:38:18 AM  Ideas and comments to this [] or trackback [] LinkedIn social network Over the last week, I have been invited by Patti and Ton to join the LinkedIn community, which is in my opinion an experiment in social network analysis. When I joined there were mainly people in the US and Canada (I think I was the only one outside North America) but now some Europeans and people from Japan have chimes in. I dediced to take on the challenge. Some things that LinkedIn does not support at all (asked around, other people could not find it either) is that you cannot visualize your network and you can only see your personal network.  Especially when in the invitation email they set the expectation as it says: Ton Zijlstra has invited you to connect and share LinkedIn networks.
