Seed statement:
Soon there will be weblogs that can be subscribed to as a paid service
I have taken this development under consideration because good content is valuable, and I see a similar trend between the commercialization of content / news websites in the mid-nineties. Though large news and analyst companies are likely to start weblogs to complement their (paid) service offering, for the small or medium sized, and independent knowledge intensive company the commercialization of ideas might be an interesting source of income. Of course, there will be a tremendous amount of free ideas and thoughts through the millions of blogs, but the top will exploit this possibility to convert their ideas into value.. if they start to invest time in blogging and spend their hours compiling and working out content for their blog, it has economic value. It's easy to replicate, too!
